Sorry for the long delay in response, I have been waiting to hear from my doctor since I mentioned the low vitamin D level a couple of weeks ago.

My doctor has prescribed prescription strength vitamin D to be taken once a week for 12 weeks), then to start over the counter vit. D when I finish the prescription. The challenge for me will be remembering to take something once a week!!

After doing some reading, low vitamin D can cause a host of serious health problems, so I encourage all of you to get your levels checked. Apparently the majority of people tested have low vitamin D.

I do forget to take my Vit. D. I don't think my level was tested. My dr just assumed that I would be one of the many and recommended it.
