One sperm injected into dm's egg, and she'd had difficulty producing sufficient eggs, too. We can relate!

I wonder how many times they had to put the needle in his testicles to find the one sperm!!

Truly a miracle!

Yeah, that was pretty amazing. I had to chuckle a little when they said that the woman had trouble with her eggs and she produced 8 good ones. Geez. That's not exactly trouble!

b/c you have to admit, many ED's would easily produce 2-3x that many. By high fsh standards, 8 good eggs is good, although I had that many in 2001 and ended up with only 4 to xfer, and had a chemical pg.

So many of us if not all can relate to her talking about being so lucky and ttc another one:

Its crazy. Sometimes Im, like, Did we cheat? she said. People ask if were going to have another child, but we made it this far to get her. I dont know if I even want to press my luck.

thanks for posting this, it's always nice when someone out there gets pg beyond all odds.

Then I was thinking of how many other couples that Dr might have tried to help but it didn't have a happy ending like hers... If this Dr developed the ability to freeze just one sperm and accepted them as patients, I bet this wasn't the first couple but perhaps the first who got to see their dream come true.
(too pessimistic??)

Love hearing happy stories like that. So amazing.

I feel like mine are such miracles too, that's for sure -- it's the one thing IF does to a parent, make you appreciate all the more how precious the little ones are.

So glad they found a doctor willing to work with them.
