as I approach menopause, I notice that my moustache, well, that I have ONE! ack.

I knew I'd get there one day because my sister is 8yrs older than me and bleaches her's.

Should I bleach it or have it removed and if I get it removed (waxed) will it keep growing back thicker and what is the maintenance?? I suppose I could pluck the offending hairs.

I have half a mind to find the 400$ it would cost to buy one of these hair removal sysytems that Costco sells:http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.asp ... 5599=en-CA

What to do about this?

I used to bleach, but it's 15 minutes each time, messy, can damage clothes, and I went too long between b/c of the hassle.

Somewhere I read a dermatologist saying "just get over it and shave it already," so I do.

I would imagine plucking would take too long, doesn't it?

My skin is olive and I've heard it doesn't do well with the permanent systems, so that's why I don't get a dermatologist to do laser removal.

I did it and it looked ridicules!
my EX made it a public joke

Today I use a special wax that catches the hairs only and does not damage the skin.

I'll go take a picture of my mouth and upload it in an hour or so

Hi Julie - yeah, I'm in the same boat. Older I get the thicker and darker my hair gets everywhere. Legs, bikini, underarms, stash. Sigh.

I used a Groupon or Living Social deal for my underarms. It was $99 for 4 sessions. AWESOME!

Highly recommend. We are still doing a Hail Mary run at TTC'ing for a 2nd (so far, no luck) so I haven't done laser hair removal for over 2 years now. Once we finish our last 2 rounds of IVF, look out lasers, here I come! I'll be looking for deals and start on my bikini area, then stash, then legs (that's expensive no matter what and need to save).

I would have 5 o'clock shadow on my underarms by, well, 5 o'clock each day. Now I can go 4-5 days without shaving. And when I do they are fine and wispy. Yay!

that will make it thinner and you won't see it as it grows back in. I find that anything waxed or plucked gets thinner. Shaving is different story. If you shave it, or pluck it without getting the "roots" out, it will grow back thicker, well, it did for me until my "hair" issues.

I didn't notice it on you last time. Maybe because I was focused on "curbing the hairy eye

This works really well:

Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo by Olay

A bit of a PIA (but not so much--7 minutes, jeez you'd think I could find 7 minutes!), so I do pluck the occasional in between, but this basically does the job.

by the home wax kits.

Do you have a favourite brand or are they all sort of the same or should I completely ignore the cheapest and choose the more expensive kind?

Too many choices.
