To all the new folks--and old folks who wonder where the hell the old site went (it's here--this is it)--WELCOME!

I hope you find information that is helpful and timely. The regular folks here have a lot of experience with their struggle with HCL--many suffered a little and some suffered a lot, but for the most part we're all hanging in there living a pretty normal life. And some are really doing great, HCL for them is nearly a distant memory. I believe Lou has been in remission after one treatment for about 25 years or so--record breaking stuff. And the blood counts wow! healthy people would love some of the counts I see posted.

Most of us get treated then wait a bit for the counts to return. If you're worried ask here. Most likely you'll see that what's happening to you is rather normal over all.

I recall the longer posts often don't get read all the way to the end so I'll chop it off here. -- Rob

I've had one frustration with this site, which I think I just fixed.  I kept seeing an error message about no posts being visible during the selected time – and no way to fix that.  But then I clicked on my name, went to the user control panel, and changed my display preferences to "All posts".  Now I can see posts that are more than 24 hours old.  With luck, it may even stay that way.

Well the world is smaller today. My thanks to Waid, Rob and Lou, who I was thinking about overnight as the folk I recall from several years ago. Great to make contact again with you all, you were all so very helpful to so many people over the years. Glad to be in the States. Would you all care to mention which city and State you and indeed everyone who read this post, are all based. Another name came to me overnight, was Paula. I still have her cookbook.

Waid you should be able to select whatever you like up top. I tend to click on unread posts. All the post transferred come here as unread. I've been clicking on them just to sloooooowly get them off the unread listing. I also get post alerts in my email. I just click on them and I'm into the that post. 👻

I was starting at unread, but I had a setting in the User Control Panel to only show posts from the last 1 day.  With that setting, then you can't see anything older than 1 day.

I see. Have you noticed a bell up top with a red dot? I dunno if we're all seeing the same thing. I click on that bell and get a list of new posts. I'm also getting notifications in my email about people who joined, posted or "LIKED" my stuff. I occasionally experiment with logging on or not logging on to see if there's a difference. Also, I (we) are in the free mode. Probably if I pay I'd have more control over design. But honestly I'm just not into it right now.

Yes, I see a bell, and sometimes it has a red dot.  I turned off the e-mail messages.
