I’ve been using the Thunder saltwater baitcaster of Piscifun for over 4 months. Bought it at a discounted price. Modestly priced, high value, I would say. This is a great reel for the money. No issues in kayak fishing in saltwater or freshwater fishing. Landed fluke, stripers, just make sure your tackle is tied tight. Drag system is plenty adequate. I paired the reel with a 2 pc/ 6.5 ft/ M-H Ugly Stik GX2 Casting Rod. Performed very well. I used em for a few trips. I would rate Piscifun Thunder 4.5 out of 5.0.

Pros:
High strength aluminum frame. I weigh 160 pounds standing on the reel, and it didn’t break. Anodized surface feels good. Don’t have to worry about rust/corrosion.
Japanese High Speed Precision NMB Ball Bearings. Awesome. I like Japanese fishing gears, like Shimano
,Daiwa . Materials are premium.
Carbon fiber drag is a push, and very smooth.
18 lb max drag power works well for many fishing applications.
Responsive and pleasant customer service, and warranty

Cons:
The handle fits my brother well. Nonetheless, I want it to be extended wider. Personal preference.

Hit hard by the winter. Put line away

For a handle solution you might want to look at the selection over at 13 Fishing. They have a "Trick Shop" for they're bait casters that might work for you. They are local here in Tampa, so you might even be able to go by there & try something out first.
