Hi guys, I'm new to kayaking and currently sport a 10 ft pelican. I'm not a little dude so I sit low and drag much. A fun intro but time to get serious so I'm yak shopping. I really like the pro fisherman sit on,but they won't let me test it out before buying. Just cause it looks good doesn't mean anything right? Anyone had a chance to try one of these out?

There's a lot of good kayaks out there. I don't remember the name of the place but there's some place over in the Tampa area that lets you try kayaks in the water. Some good kayaks...ocean kayaks, wilderness, heritage redfish,hobie...just some.

Not sure of anyplace in Tampa that will let you test drive, but Bill Jackson's over in Pinellas Park has a pond out back that I think they let people test drive in.

Don't shop for a kayak without checking out HardCore sponsor, Canoe Country Outfitters. ;)
