Hello everyone!

I am conducting some family research regarding my fathers uncle.  Sadly he was killed on the last mission of his tour, the Halifax was shot down and all on board were killed.  I will add/give the information that I have at present.

Identifiers JB804, KN-Q
Raid was over Stettin constisting of 339 bombers

Navigator F/Sgt White R J  - THIS IS THE UNCLE!!
Flight Engineer Cruxton G H
Air Bomb Aimer F/O Chitty D J D
Wireless Operator F/Lt Harries J R
Air Gunner/Mid upper SGT Carter E
Air Gunner/Rear Sgt Lambert R

I think I have left relevant information out and would love to add to it!
So many more questions!

Any photos, logs, mission data etc are most welcome, hey anything is GREAT!

I have compiled a LARGE source of research data, but sadly it does not contain the above mentioned.
Everyone back in the UK has passed and that avenue is now closed.

To be, rather than seem .... now I am on this forum!!

Dear MissDirection, It looks like F/Lt Lea T S had the DFC and so that means you can research and find, perhaps not easily, his DFC award citation. Do you have Lea's regimental military ID number? The Lea DFC citation sheds light on where they went when flying combat and the special things that may have happened to the crew. That can help. The other source which can lead to finding family of these 7 men is the ANCESTRY website with the emphasis on the UK side of Ancestry. This requires knowing the crews full names, their military ID numbers, and you already know their death date. Happy hunting, Karl

Dear Missdirection, Like you I am trying to find information on JB804. Mainly on F/O Chitty and the rest of the crew. Have you had any further luck. I just started looking and found this forum.

Thanks
