I've spent some time trying to research my father's RAF service from 1940 to 1946 which has shown that he was operational on Bomber Command from just after D-Day to the end of the war and beyond. He flew with a number of well known, even famous squadrons during his time as a flight engineer. The story can be found at:-

Rather than my research getting lost by adding it to already started threads including:-
newspaper-cuttings-halifax-bombing-of-caen-t510.html
crash-landing-76-squadron-halifax-mp-b- ... t1028.html
post-war-51-squadron-t1024.html
I thought I would start a new thread to allow anybody who might be interested to take a look at it. Any comment would be most welcome.
