My grandad, A W Cracknell was killed during operations on july 29th 1944, he was a volunteer reserve firefighter and like many others joined the RCAF as he couldn't join the RAF. I am very proud to say he is my granddad although I never got to meet him. I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me where I would be able to find a picture of him, his crew and/or his plane, He is buried in Germany and as far as I know was a member of 420 Squadron, group 6, and he was a Sergaent Flt.Engr.
