I am trying to research the RAF service of F/Sgt C.J.D. Smith, the W/Op in the Frith crew. They went down in bad weather at Ardleigh in Essex on 25/2/43. Does anyone have any details please? Many thanks

Thank you Tim. I got the captains name wrong (page turned in Chorley !)- it was Sgt Bray. The interest is local - Ardleigh wish to erect a memorial in the village to the crew and my interest lies in Sgt Smith, an ex-49 Squadron veteran.
My email is atrium14@aol.com
Many thanks & good luck with the book

know this is an ail from ages ago, but in your book and research on 102 squadron did you come across my Father John Granville Dickson (from Sutton Coldfield, navigator from 1944 onwards) and his mate from Tooting called CJS Wilkes? richarddickson2902@outlook.com
