Hi... Just wanted to know if 'no rules' meant that I could mod my munitions? If it helps I have several different layers of modifications to set a limit
level -1: Training weaponry. Does no damage.
level 0: Standard weaponry
level 1: Minor modifications; ie. change of laser/beam wavelength and shifting of missiles from direct flight to flying up and attacking from above.
level 2: Change in payload of missiles from simple HE to shaped charges and shifting of laser/beam wavelength out of the visible range into IR(long range) and UV(short range) fixed frequencies depending on weapon function. Hollowpoint or jacketed bullet weaponry would fall here.
level 3: Moderate change; swapping out internal parts on missiles to make cluster bombs(ie. swapping out warhead for around a dozen smaller explosives) or decoys (no explosives)
level 4: Swapping out internal parts on missiles to make recon drones(no warhead but sensor suite. Limited flight time since it's still a missile) and swarm missiles (casing splits to reveal 3-4 smaller missiles when closing on target.) Explosive bullet weaponry would also fall here.
level 5: Major change; Replacing of munition parts with somewhat exotic material. ie. replacing missile core with depleted uranium or tungsten penetrator to act as anti armour or anti materiel weaponry. Replacing bullets with depleted uranium or tungsten.
level 6: Replacing missile payload with acid, napalm, thermite, or nerve gas(probably not going to be allowed). Moving laser weaponry into the microwave range(with major drop in range of course). Using teflon coating on bullet weaponry or making bullet weaponry out of ceramic coated magnesium.
level 6.5: Mounting laser weaponry in missiles
level 7: Exotic Change; Replacing laser weaponry with gamma emitters(null range, dangerous in immediate vicinity). Metal zi ammunition, loading missiles with ClF3 or fitting them with one shot charged particle cannons, Using enriched uranium in bullets or fitting missiles with tactical nuclear warheads. (No way is this going to happen)
You know me, and you know there is going to be a downside to any modifications made. I can give you a rundown of the problems and benefits of every wavelength that might be used as well as a breakdown of how any other mods might affect performance.
Also, how are you doing? Hope I'm not bothering you with this.
No. Too complicated.
I'm fine, I guess. *shrug*
