Snow Bases

Just a quick question to see how people might tackle doing snow on thier bases? Im an intending to do this for 15mm (BGK specifically) but the method will remain the same even for other scales im sure... Have tried layering up some of the GW snow scatter many moons ago but it looked fairly unconvincing.

Bases are done with a mix of PVA & Polyfilla to the consistency required (I like a thin but not runny mix). Add a little glitter gel and a very very small drop of ice blue paint. Put mx onto base and then cover the whole with baking soda and leave overnight. Knock of the excess.

GF9 do a snow scatter. A couple of our club members have has good results with 15mm FOW armies.
