HI,
I AM A RETIRED MARINE OFFICER WHO WAS WITH THE 31ST REPLACEMENT BATALLION. I WAS BADLY WOUNDED ON THE 16TH OF MARCH. 1945 ON IWO. INTERESTED IN FINDING
THE MARINE WHO HELPED ME GET OUT AFTER BEING WOUNDED.
HE WENT BACK AND GOT STRETCHER BEARERS FOR ME. NEVER GOT HIS NAME.

My name is Timothy Zucchero and my Uncle Lewis Simich was with the 31st Replacement Draft on Iwo. He was born in Malvern OH, Jan 5, 1925 and East Canton Ohio. Maybe you recall him was with the mortar section. Any I would be grateful if I could obtain a copy of the photo that you have of the 31st on Iwo.

My Uncle Lewis Simich from East Canton, OH was with the 31st Replacement Draft on Iwo. I am looking for anyone that know him or may have a photo, or documents. I see that you have a picture is there anyway I can get a copy.
