The place is still VERY active. I took some great audio with out of place bird calls, rock clacking and some wood knocks unlike anything I have heard before. I had a sighting at about 35-40 yards and the thing vanished behind some bushes before I could even raise my camera. (Monster Hunter said to look for movement and I saw it move just as I was turning the other way)

I really didn't see anything in the pictures. However there are some anomalies that I would like to get a closer look at. and I still have to go through the video very carefully. I had a front and rear mounted video recorder.

I will give a full report and some audio and any pictures I might have when I get back home.

always watch for movement and breaking sounds like limbs...IMO to get your attention they'll snap a limb to get you to look in their direction...last time out one of my partners had a sighting after we heard a few odd sounds...

MH,

I'd guess they want you to look in their direction (though they remain hidden) only so that their buddy (in the totally opposite direction of the sound) can maneuver while you're looking the wrong way).

I know the instinct is to look towards sounds, but I wonder if looking in the opposite direction might result in a sighting, too?

Just a thought.

The monster moved so fast I would have thought it had vanished right in front of me except the limbs on the bush it was standing next to was moving as if they had been brushed as it moved by. I have never seen anything move so fast. After about 10 minutes I moved closer than further away from the bush It was standing next to. I was afraid to get too close since I don't carry a gun. I was really trying to get different vantage points to see if I could detect anything. I walked around a small area trying to keep that bush in my general sight. I then heard a very slight twig snap in the direction of the bush and about 30 seconds later I heard another to the left of the bush in a different area. The second snap was considerably closer than the first but I didn't see anything and I detected absolutely no movement. I remembered the last time where they were using distractions to out maneuver me in groups and I thought I was being surrounded again or worse there was one VERY close to my position that I hadn't detected. Fortunately about that time I decided it was time to wrap up the investigation for that day.

I would like to note that EVERY thing that I heard was VERY subtle and it could easily be missed if you weren't paying attention to what was happening in the environment.
