I sent MK some hair the lady found in her yard...MK, last night, said the lady saw them pulling hair...no, she found the hair after seeing these Monsters, finding scat and then taking pictures...I thought I mentioned to MK that the lady found the hair...

While MK was going through the wad of hair he found a piece of meat attached to a few hairs...we immediately called a lab with MK overnighting this hair and meat...I have no idea how long this will take for testing and if this hair and meat is not contaminated to the point of tainting the DNA...

On the hair thing, my money in on ungulate and probably a mixture
of any number of them...sika, fallow and mostly white-tail.
Looks like rodent nesting material to me.

Maybe from the ungulate family...the hair is to long for white tail deer and the wrong color for the time of year...

The texture sure looks right. The color is crazy with that mixture of colors. The hair I've seen was mostly all one shade with slight variation. This hair is certainly more interesting looking! LOL

An older animal.
With all the grays and black and light brown.
I am pretty sure of the origin but I will wait before I stick my neck out there!

Hi MH,

Is this a form of lice or a supposed follicle? If it is lice - Igor Burtseva found much of this type hair in Tennessee many years back. Looks familiar as I have seen something like this years back as well

But it appears to be some type of parasite...
