WOW! What an incredible hour of television.

Tossing all conventions aside, Fringe jumped 24 years into the future. This is a stunning episode from its bombshell-laden opening scroll right through its final twist.

I would have said that the last thing this show needed was even more mystery in its already convoluted plot, but this was just masterfully executed all around.

It's worth noting that the preview for next week's episode appears to be back to the main storyline. Let's hope we can go back to the future again real soon because this was a real treat.

Incredible episode! Certainly jumps to the best episodes of the season (and perhaps the series) list.

Based on the ratings alone, Fringe probably would have been cancelled this year. But for once it seems like quality actually did factor into Fox keeping a Sci-Fi series.

Fringe will officially return for a fifth season. The 13-episode run will be the show's final year.

This is great news. With an end date in place, producers will be able to sufficiently wrap up the story and end it on their own terms. This is the best possible scenario and Fox should be given credit for letting a quality show go out in style even if it might not make the most financial sense.

If you haven't done so, I suggest watching the Fringe Comic-Con panel from this year. Obviously no spoilers for the next season are given, but it's great to see the cast interacting together and answering fan questions and naming favorite moments. Plus Anna Torv's REAL voice is weird.
