A deal has been met between SFI and the Kentucky fair board. in that deal SFI will keep Road runner Express, a mine train themed wild Mouse. I have come across a few theories that have it coming to TGe.

The mine train fits with ghost town and the empty Nightmare building. Also TGe is pretty much the only park in teh chain without a coaster of it's level.

Well the coaster went to SFNE instead. no one is thrilled over it.

The mouse may have been a last ditch effort to add a coaster since they were unable to add a Euro fighter since another local park, Canobie LAke , beet then to the punch.

I don't think SFNE conducts their expansion plans based on what neighboring parks, much less Canobie, 100s of miles away and not really in the same category of theme park, does. I wouldn't rule out that they will get a eurofighter in the coming years though, now that the prototype for the chain is open at SFOG. BTW SFNE did a great job with that wild mouse by the way, they even got the Batman '89 Batmobile on display as part of the theming, I highly doubt TGE could do as good a job.

Well... so much for that theory... at least for this year.

I still say that the Nightmare Building... which seems to be a mistake no matter where they build it (Darien Lake, for example), would be best suited for a really great quality indoor show.

It's weather-protected... and if they insulate it... they could add A/C (which was definiately not present during Crack Axle Canyon days)... and have one hell of an indoor show presentation. To what theme? Who knows... how about a kick-back to Gaslight Village days & make it Vaudville?

Got to make something of that building, they re-routed the log ride & dug into the mountain to stick that thing there! Can't put a cheesy flat ride indoors, and another mouse-like coaster would make people (the general public) think it's the same ride!

i wish I had more to say, but I don't!!
