Exercise—Not Just for Weight Loss

Here’s a quick reminder of just some of the great benefits you get from exercising…

Exercise—Not Just for Weight Loss
So you’re working out regularly, but the scale is moving slowly—if at all. You’re beginning to wonder why you still bother making time for something that’s not working. Here’s a quick reminder of just some of the benefits you get from exercising, many of which are not visible to the eye:
Exercise helps you regulate your blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol.
It reduces your risk for heart disease and cancer.
It improves your digestion.
Weight-bearing activity and strength training help protect bones and muscle tissue, which helps prevent osteoporosis and a drop in metabolism later in life.
It sharpens your thinking and protects your brain as you age.
It relieves stress and can also help relieve the symptoms of depression.
It increases both libido and stamina.
