Hi, looking for a strong GoPro pole. Would like it to be at least 40 inches. Would be nice if it folded down small so you can take it traveling and it does not look threatening.
The Ace3c 50 and Alaska Life look strong but not sure if I like that they only collapse to 15 to 18 inches. and the Alaska Life is 36 inches at the longest. The Ace3c 50 is 50 inches at the longest, but for taking GoPro Video Selfies, I feel that 40 inches is the sweet spot. what do you think?
There is also mudder, smartree, and sandmarc.

I had a cheap china monopod selfie gopro stick that folded down to 7 1/2 inches and extends to 40 inches. great length, but after snow sledding filming, it started to wobble a lot.

Love to hear what you have to say and recommend.
thanks

I would consider the SP Gadgets range of poles. Excellent build quality and start at 19" and go upto 39". The SP Remote Pole can also hold your wifi remote for one handed snaphots, menu changes, etc.

As Paul at Hobbymounts said the Sp gadgets 39"" complete with remote holder is a very sturdy well made pole I can totally recommend.

Can vouch for both the above - Currently reviewing the SmaTree SmaPole S2, which is pretty impressive.

With regards to the SPGadgets Remote pole, also equally impressive!

Camkix makes a nice one also. Here is a bit of a review I did.

I have had and used the camkix reviewed above and I have to say it is a cheap knockoff version of the Sea Life Aquapod that was released a few years ago... it uses the same clamps as the Sea life but it wobbles A LOT!! The Sea life is a way better product and even though more expensive, I'd rather get it over the camkix. The handle is made out of cheap foam which wouldn't really work for diving and more importantly, I do not trust they way the gopro is attached to the pole (just with the tripod mount... seems easy to fall off.) I gave the Camkix away and kept using my GoPole while my Gf has the aquapod....

Have you heard about Smatree aluminum foldable selfie stick?

It fulfills all your requirement, This selfie stick has a three section pole that can adjust in different shapes for best shooting effects.

If you don't like this, check these more list of selfie stick that comes under $50 with your requirement https://www.gearhint.com/best-gopro-sel ... -under-50/

Hey,
I can recommend you this one:
Little pre-review:
The CamKix Adjustable GoPro Stick is yet another classic addition that will enable you to get closer to the action. Extended from a compact 14 inch to a long 40 inch, the pole can be secured at any length using its simple twist and lock system. All you have to do is twist clockwise to lock, adjust to your favorable length then twist counter-clockwise to unlock.

I will recommend you to go offer official GoPro mount as you can use this mount in three different ways. It can be used to take selfies and even it will work like a tripod. So before considering any other third party GOPro accessories or normal selfie stick I would recommend you to check it.
