I know the Habs are losing, but aside from a few penalty issues, they've looked pretty good.

He was good on the 5-3. I was happy with that whole shift from Alzner, Weber, and Plekanec.

Absolutely. I have a handful of other complaints, but generally speaking there are more positives than negatives. I'm loving the play of the top line and Mete has a great first pass.

Gallagher especially looks rejuvenated.

I’m getting frustrated with the 3rd pair defense.

Imho that puck crossed the line.

Tired of the terrible video angles.

Alzner has been way better since we complained about him. Maybe he reads gohabs.com!

Good game. For October, pretty good intensity.

Gallagher with 3 lost puck battles/giveaways in one power play. I liked him better on the 2nd wave.

I see our PP is looking worse than sh*t.

Good finish, but 3 on 3 is still weird.

Was particularly nice to see skill guys like Galchenyuk and Drouin winning puck battles late in regulation.

Very happy with that industrious Pleks line. They look like a real pain in the butt to play against.

And Drouin is the real deal. There was one sequence that would have gotten him benched if he had a Belarussian name (lost a faceoff, dumb giveaway, followed by halfhearted backcheck) but for the most part he looked like a #1 centre to me.

The D still looks a bit weak. The only guy who was truly convincing for 60 minutes was Shea Weber. Streit really should be the #7.
Jordie Benn might have some untapped offensive upside. Quite a few very smart passes by him, and he didn't just go for the easy play. Wish he had quicker feet though. Not a huge fan of Petry tonight. When you have the skating ability he has you shouldn't be caught flat-footed every second shift. He should watch some video of Mete.
