Hated by who??
Therrien, bergevin, pacs
Therrien is a loser , bergevin is a bigger loser and max might be the worst captain in our history
Two of the classiest players in the history of this organization price and Markov had no problems with pk
This is not high school who cares who likes who
It's about winning and losing
Teams win with subban more than they lose

everyone forgets...Therrien stated while an announcer for RDS that if he was the Habs coach PK would not be on his team....he gets
hired and PK is gone..nothing to do with how PK played as he was only one who 2 years ago gave 110% every game...one factor is he gave HIS
money to the Hospital through his own Foundation and not through the HABS foundation...they wanted the credit without any monetary input..
remember Therrien was fired in Pittsburgh for trying to make Crosby and Malkin defenders till Mario stepped in and said we drafted them to score goals not
play defense...Therrien is the center of PK being gone

I'm a huge Gallagher fan but thought his answer to a (stupid) question was a little classless.  PK was interviewed before, during and after the match, and had nothing bad to say about anyone.  Plus he spent hours in a kids' hospital.

I don't care if Gallagher or the whole team disliked him; the team was WAY better with him.

Good comments re: Gally.

Very similar to PK, heart and soul.

MB yanked a vital organ out of this team and Gally is feeling the pain.

I have supported pk on this site over and over again
Pk comments was just as classless
Something like he didn't hear what gally was saying because all he saw was the blood dripping down his face
Pretty dumb comments from both

but Gally did try to run him and missed...I think it was a shot at humor that got lost in the media crap.
and the article mentioned above is bang on..the media will kill you in Montreal...the problem is management and coaches are causing
the most problems with the media with their stupid statements and publicly criticizing players..Bergy did not need to say Chucky is not a
center and never will be one cause he will be in 2 years time on a different team if not sooner..or the comment about Pacs not being a good captain..
it is like Julien and Bergy stoke the media and the players pay for it

how we forget..PK was traded because Therrien wanted him gone ,no other reason...while working for RDS as an announcer
Therrien said if he coached the Habs Pk would not be on his team...he got hired..PK went...it is as simple as that..would we be better with PK,
absolutely..imagine PK and Sergachev as 1-2.....

GOOD point TH. The press asked dumb questions. Trust me , I listen to the majority of post game conferences. These beat guys are awful. Like ask a real question. Often it’s like “what do you think of this ....”.

Pure lazy reporting.

I agree fully, Mario.  And the absolute worst is TVA's Renaud Lavoie.  He gushes and asks absolutely stupid non-questions, especially in English (how do you like the fans here in Mon-ree-all?), then misrepresents what they said.

Well...I'm sorry Mario...call me crazy BUT when a guy puts on a Smokey The Bear hat and a Ralph Furley suit...he gets the questions he deserves (eg. Stupid/nonsense).

And that mentality is probably the number 1 reason pk got traded
He didn't act , dress , speak or play the game the way the old boys club of Montreal believe you should

In this instance it was Gallagher who was asked the stupid question.

Subban was traded two years ago and wasn’t a significant storyline in the game. Gallagher was frustrated by the game and the season. He then gets asked a question that everyone in the Habs’ organization is clearly sick of? Thriw in the fact that Gallagher is an emotional player and this is just about the most polite response we could have expected.

Now, I get that many people, especially the press, want to make this into a big story about how the current frustration must mean they disliked each other as teammates and couldn’t possibly work together. It makes a great storyline to fill dead air before the trade deadline, but it just doesn’t follow from the exchange. Maybe they hated each other, sure, but maybe they are just two heart-and-soul players who work their asses off for the teams they play for and have a talent getting under their opponents’ skin.

There were so many more relevant questions possible, but hey, this is the press we have. And if PK gets the Norris or Nashvile gets the Cup, the questions will get worse. I would venture to say that they won’t get better until Montreal is good again and we have something better to talk about.

Edit: I would add that PK mostly gets asked great questions around the league. He’s even getting great questions outside the league. Check out the interview in the “Around the Horn” section. For all his crazy suits, I’m struggling to think of other hockey star who was taken so seriously outside the hockey community. Was it Ken Dryden (politics)? Wayne Gretzky (transcending the sport)? Vladislav Tretiak (politics)?

Even the greatest players today are ignored by non-fans and non-Canadians.
