Geoff: I really like your site. There are good full swing forums and this is a great putting forum. Are there any short game websites out there? Thanks

Not so far as I can find, and I've looked a lot!

Once Dave Pelz cancelled his forum, which was by far more concerned with short-game wedge play than putting, the Web was left bereft of a short-game website.

The only reasonable substitute is the discussion group Rec.Sport.Golf. It's website counterpart is http://rec-sport-golf.com/. You can enroll and participate by going to this website. If you use the search function on Google.com devoted to searching Discussion Groups, and use the search terms "short game golf", you will be directed to the many many posts and threads in Rec.Sport.Golf discussing the short game -- sort of a filter to cut to the chase and eliminate all the other golf junk, if your focus is short game. Here's the search results: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=short ... 59-1&hl=en

A word of caution, though. This Discussion group is not all that friendly. Over the years it has attracted quite a number of argumentative egomaniacs with a penchant for insulting people who post threads there. Lots of stupid flame wars. I personally decided some years ago that the group was pretty univiting and not worth the lack of civility. A big waste, and a pity. But hey, you can still read what some of the members think, even if you don't want to get dragged down to the level of some of the hard-core members.

The seach engine GolfHelp.com also has a listed over a couple of dozen (31) golf discussion groups you may be interested in, but none really focus on the short game. The link is found in the "News and Views" section from the Home page, or here: http://www.golfhelp.com/golf-help-html/ ... ndex.shtml.

Sorry there's not more.

Cheers!
