I owe all of you an apology, although it seems pretty damn pointless to do it after all this time. I disappeared on you back in 2006. Yeah, it was 8 bloody years ago, and it still bothers me. For those who don't know or remember, I was originally responsible for making the map and static objects.

My reason for jumping ship was that I got hopelessly frustrated with the project and the lack of progress, especially on my side. I didn't have the tools or the know-how that was needed, and I was quite frankly in over my head. The whole thing started off wrong, the map was hastily thrown together (at least by my standards) and later partially torn up and rebuilt, and OFP wasn't able to do what I wanted it to do or run smoothly enough with all the objects I wanted to add (still won't on my current computer). And the bridges and forests that got thrown out of alignment when you changed the quality settings made the whole thing simply tragicomic. In the end, it seemed that the whole project was about polishing one giant turd, so my solution was to say "Fuck everything." and walk away. That was a dick move, to say the least. And I am sorry.
The bigger they are, the harder they hit.

Holy hell, a real blast from the past.
Good to 'see' you. :)

I'll reply to you in PM (if you happen by sometime), although this forum is so desolate that no-one probably even comes here so it kinda would not matter.. :P

Good to see you still remember we exist :)
I can assure you, you weren't the only one to bail out. However you seem to be the only one who is feeling guilty about it :P

Not that this project has achieved anything public since you left

It seems to be quiet here, but still I wan´t to visit these forums once a day to see some new WIP pictures. As I´ve said tens of times earlier, I´ll be patience and wait for this mod! :salute:
