Small details certainly makes it, but all small details tend to take a while to add so it sadly slows down progress a bit.

I saw Lapland war homepage, as it used to it still looks nice
However not really right topic to post it in, we also have non-FWW2 section where it could have been posted.

I think Rip31st would certainly like to have a homepage, so its something that you could ask from him, since as far as I know they're missing own page or/and forums.

Also some sort of an central hub of WW2 mods might not be bad idea either.

Sorry! You are right that this is not right thread for Laplandwar -issues. You can move this discussion to forum's non-fww2 -section if it is ok for you.

No special need for it, you can however make new topic there if you feel that you want to continue it still.

As poll draws closer to end and we have had such an huge amount of votes in it, I post this as down payment. Its very simple, but it turned out rather nice.

Of course NCO has edited collar and you can see it very easy, I try to get soviet NCO and officer soon for show, just thinking about equipment NCO should carry.



I will be posting more soon, also more detailed picture of finnish soldiers (after few fixes I need to make on their textures).

That tank looks absolutely fantastic with shadows on etc! The screenshot is also from nice looking point of view.

There is some small issues in turret shadow still, but it might be just me and shape of turret generally that makes it.

I got one very basic idea of soviets again and I try to make it during weekend, also I have scheduled DP-27 for this weekend. So you propably will be getting at least one weapons screenshot and another action shot.

Also on that screenshot, notice binoculars: proxy and optic are both custom.

Something new for you all, soviet officer with sheepskin coat. Equipment is still bit WIP (missing mapcase & binoculars and LODs).



Also I will be updating this topic again in a few hours. Would do it now, but I have prior engagements that I need to take care of. I will be editing this post when I return, stay tuned!

Update, since you wanted to have action screenshots. These are nothing really special, just took them on one FPS stress test mission, besides of the first 4 screens which I staged quickly.

Note: Sorry for american faces, haven't gotten around to disable them yet.

Second post, too many pictures for one post.

This time we brought tanks with us, not that the other one managed to do anything really. Second picture is just for peteliuz, since you share such an special releation to T-26 (shadow seems to disable normal mapping).


First finnish casualty, squad leader bought it straight away. So his pal decided to extract some first hand revenge, not sure thou is that really good idea to run directly at 1,5 platoon of soviet infantry and T-26 (note that landscape in this part is favoring attacker and there are times when neither one sees each others even if distance is less than 100m)


However that finnish soldier managed to get quite far and in decent shape (killed 6 soldiers at short range), mostly because that T-26 had problems to bring him down. His end came while trying to throw grenade (I missed just and just with screenshot, he got hit directly on head).


He tried to rescue his friend, but our friendly neighborhood politruk got him (you can see WIP DP-27 on finnish soldier). Attack came at halt and soviets had to pull back when they lost their armored support.


Hope everybody had as much as fun as I did
