Hi all, I'm new to fugitives... in fact I haven't even seen the one I bought really as it's having some work done on it and I know that I don't know enough about mechanics to do it myself without getting into trouble! I bought the fug with the double wishbone front suspension that I've been following for a few years now (it may even have been the one I used to draw when I was just a spotty kid!!).... Anyhow, a previous owner had fitted a wiper below the bottom of the screen & slightly on the drivers side. With the top of the screen being narrower than the bottom I need a wiper angle of say 85 degrees, most are over 90 degrees, which means the wiper currently runs off the edge of the screen, which is annoying and look really amateurish. There was a hole gauged out of the front top fiberglass panel, so I don't really want to move everything, I'd rather tidy up the previous bodge & get a short throw wiper system.... Any ideas out there? All thoughts most appreciated. Thanks.

Depends on the way the wiper operates.

If it's a rack and pinion system with a flexible rack moving backwards and forwards inside a rigid tube then you need to change the crank wheel inside the wiper motor for one with a shorter stroke.

If it operates through an external lever system you can alter the stroke by altering the relative lengths of the levers on the motor and the wiper arm.
