My miles are perched for CLG on a setlist, Queen.

VOL is that one song that she can change up as much as she likes to suit her voice on that given day. It's also a total performance song. That period where she stopped performing it had me pressT (was it not Nick who influenced that, BTW? I'm sure I read somewhere that he wasn't a huge fan of it and hence she didn't really perform it when they were together)

True and that's such a vital thing. A lot of Mariah songs don't naturally translate well live (basically, the bulk of her 2000's material) as they aren't tracks she can really get her teeth into and really perform epically. VOL is. Its got a climatic, kind of stadium anthem scale to it.

wow at the CLG comeback!

what I like about the twitter polls she is doing is that this time we will have direct proof of her ignoring what won LOL.  So far we have I Still Believe and Can't Let Go.

The Car Ride medley (IKWYW-Obsessed-ILT-SIO-Loverboy) from SSFT was pretty cute. She could add Honey and Heartbreaker in there too.

^It's a good way to get those songs out of the way that she clearly loves doing and there's no avoiding. Plus Loverboy was a huge surprise. She could throw in another uptempo that she's rarely done before in.

And yes, she will have a lot to answer for if ISB and CLG gets ignored now that we have undeniable receipts.

I mean at least she likes ISB and CLG, it would be more doubtful had Prisoner won though lol.

I love that she did TMB then the medley and then HB on the SSFT tour. It felt like a fun block of the show and it was surprisingly energetic imo. Bop after bop after bop!

On the face of it they aren’t, but that also comes back to getting creative with arrangements. There’s no reason some of them can’t be turned into live jams (I’m thinking of how she made “Thirsty” epic with that live intro). Certain songs naturally lend themselves better to live performance, but most Mariah songs have solid melodies and can be turned into strong live songs with some thought put into the performance.
