Although not a big fan of german stuff, Im rather taken by Wilesco engines and have built up a fair few, from a small D8 up to a D24...

Hi Mike the D8 is quite rare to find these days your one lucky man and also to own a big D24. I love British made engines and my heart is mamod all the way.😉
Cheers

D24 is a great looking engine, solid and runs and runs. Worth having, especially the earlier models. Solid fuel and electric kettle versions available.

I recently scored a pre war Doll 365/1 in complete original condition that steams a treat, but i do have a hunger for old Mamods having the big three -Hobbies SE2,SE3 and 1937 SE4 I am currently into a Bowman and Luton Bowman craze with recent purchases. I just love the golden age of steamtoys, but i do also have some contemporary Mamods and Wilescos mixed in with some classic 60s70s gear including a couple of Fleishmann's 122/4 and 130/2. I also like Jensens and one day am looking to order one of their big collector engines......when the coin is a bit more plentiful...!!
My first engine was a 1982 SP1 which i still have that started it all.

Mamods of my childhood which means meths fueled which means 50/60s models. However the SE3 which is the model I always wanted but my parents couldn't afford to buy me was always lusted after, I now have 3 of them plus many more stationary and mobile engines all meths fueled of course.
