How to post a image on Freesteam using the forum's own image hosting.

1: First of all take your photograph and "Save" it to your "Desktop"
I'll use this photograph for this tutorial.

2: When you start a thread or reply to a thread on Freesteam you will be presented with this screen
Click the "Add image to post" text to add your photograph.

3: When you click the "Add image to post" text you will be presented
With this pop up from "Postimage.org" its Freesteam's image host
Put a "Dot" in "Family Safe" and then click the "Browse" button.

4: When you click the "Browse" button browse to your Desktop where you saved your photograph
Click your photograph, and press "Open".

5: The  "Postimage.org" pop up will once again pop up  :D
Click on the "Upload It" button to upload your photograph.

6: You will now be back to your post, the image code will also be added.

7: Click either the "Preview" button to preview your post
Or click the "Submit" button to post your post
Thats it your done.  :) your image is now on Freesteam.

(Just a quick tutorial to help members who are not sure how to post a image to the forum
If you see any mistakes let me know and I'll edit this thread)

Nice work.

Or use Photobucket or any picture hosting facility.

Ive tried Mike's guide and it works, make sure you check the 'family safe' radio button though.

What format are you trying to upload?

Seems OK from this end.

Women are like cars: we all want a Ferrari, sometimes want a pickup truck, and end up with a station wagon.

Jeff maybe it's a setting on your pc if so it could be difficult for us guys to help you find the problem, the method discribed by MC works and in your case tries but falls over at the end. So may I suggest your try Photobucket go and get yourself an account opened and we can advise you further and take it a step at a time !

(Unless some one else has any spare time)  :)

That's good. Don't be put off by the adverts (they are a damned nuisance though!).

TIP:

Open a new 'album' for every single group of pictures, for each individual engine for example. That way, as the collection grows (pics and engines) you'll be able to access them more easily!
