I saw this little Bassett-Lowke Birmingham Dribbler on ebay a few days ago
And succumbed to temptation once again, these where made around the 1970's
By Bassett-Lowke railways, and I believe the forerunner to the Maxwell Hemmens version
These are all brass construction, apart from the firebox, and a threaded bar which is used
To hold the buffer in place which are steel, this one is quite unusual as it is fitted with two
Water level plugs front and rear, if you see one on ebay buy it, they are lovely little things.

They do Mike, but they make a real mess dripping water and oil everywhere :)
I have fired one of my Maxwell Hemmens up a few years ago.
