So I put a rebuilt transmission in my 93 explorer put fluid in it startedit up and let it warm up , went to put it in gear and it won't
Shift into gear it seems as if it is even registering all the sensors and linkages are hooked up just stumped here any advice helps..

How many quarts of fluid did you put in the trans?

I put in the recommended amount of fluid which is 10 quarts and the transfer case should be in neutral its a push button not a shifter..

If the transfer case is in neutral the vehicle won't go anywhere.

If its an electronic button how would I be able to put it in neutral if possible it how would I be able to tell?

There should be a display of some sort on the dash.
How did it neutral before?

It just two buttons for the 4wd no neutral except for on the steering for the transmission
