So to the best of my knowledge I hope this isn't a transmission issue but I thought I'd check here just in case. The issue is with acceleration. In 1st and 2nd gear the truck goes fine, but when I reach 25-30 mph it will shift up in 3rd or 4th regardless of terrain and will cause me to lose speed or slow the increase. In order to get the truck to drop back down into a lower gear I literally have to press the pedal to the floor. It doesn't red line or anything, but I don't feel as though I should have to put my foot through the floor board in order to make the truck drop a gear. I haven't changed or cleaned the throttle body or IAC. I'm just trying to weigh my options before I start to tear it apart.
