When I left to go to my Momminems today, I couldn't access the forums (or any network54 URL) using Firefox.  When I got home tonight I was still SOL with Firefox.  Tried IE and all was well.  I'm thinking it might be time to switch the forums over to a new web host.  What'cha think?

and rarely seem to experience the slow-loading that I've read about occasionally.  But I expect most people here have IE and not FF, right?  What are the positives/negatives of each, Mr. Lake?

(and please excuse the off-food post)...

Firefox is generally considered by "those in the know" to be less susceptible to viruses and such but less tolerant of programming issues/mistakes.

You're right, Barbara, that more people here on the forums (and most likely in general) use IE.

While I'm WAY off topic, I'll mention that I'm covetting that new almost paper thin MAC that's being advertised on TV.  My old Windows laptop has seen better days and since I focus more on graphics now, it might be time to take the plunge....as soon as I get a "raise".

I'll never go back to Explorer. I have not had one freeze up or crash since I switched.

I'm guessing that if you switched hosts, we'd lose all the posts here, right? That would be major.

and he loves it for sure but has found lots that he can't do on it unless he buys the Windows parallel system. All depends on your applications.

here but begin anew in a new place (with a link to here and from "there").

It's speculative as we speak and more a consideration than a reality but I'm becoming tired of network54 issues as well as their lack of support.

I get so tired waiting for Newwork54 to respond. Of late I just give up and deprive cyberspace of my pearls of verbiage. I have wondered if there's some script running that Firefox doesn't like. The page never seems to fully load.
As for the Macbook Air. I have read that they leave out too much to make it that thin. As much as Bills Gates has annoyed me, I can't bring myself to Mac.I find few people are indifferent. It's either love or hate. I have sometimes thought we need a computer forum, then I realize it would likely not be busy enough to justify existence.

Let's see if this posts....
