This year it's going to be an after the fact Italian dinner. Graphics and menu selections are in the planning stage.

b/c I will live vicariously thru your festive events.

On the 17th, I will be in a coma from the 3000 person event on the 15th and 16th. On the 18th, I pack and on St. Joe's day (19th) I leave for a well deserved rest in Yosemite. That weekend, I will see snow for the first time as we are going somewhere in CA. that is a ski resort. Maria will be rolling in the snow and yes, even snow skiing. Will let you know if I come back in a leg cast.

Sounds fun.

And no plans for St. Pat's or St. Joe's at this point.

I'll be looking out for schatze and Lolly's, though.

And of course your creative menu. No plans here.

The virtual St. Joseph's altar is online again:

I may be an ex-Catholic, but I still carry in my wallet a lucky St. Joseph's altar bean which I got from my dad and a miraculous Mary medal from my mom. Traditions die hard.

but still have St. Christopher on my key ring, a Sacred Heart auto club medallion that my aunt gave me in my glove compartment and a lucky bean that an Italian friend in Chicago sent me in my briefcase. Why tempt the fates?

We'll be doing our annual St. Patrick's Day parade party (always the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day which puts it on the 16th this year). We have hot dogs and sausage po-boys and our guests bring all sorts of wonderful food. Consider this an open invitation.

One year we had a keg of green beer. Won't ever do that again -- a body excudes green from all sorts of places after (over)indulging in that stuff.

I never met anyone outside my fambly who knows what that is. Too funny! Guard that - they don't make them anymore. I lost mine and my mama had nothing to give me, so she gave me the Auto Club's b-card (I swear) and told me it would work just as well.

I'm going to miss that party. I loved that party. But then again, I loved alla yawl's parties.

Maybe we can shoot for that one in 2009.

Kiss some smelly old men for me! OK, maybe not.
