I even bought some. I hear carols in stores. I see ads on TV. Pretty soon it will be less than a month until Christmas. I bought 3 gifts.

Yet I remain unconvinced, it doesn't seem like it's so close.

I need a big injection o' holiday cheer and soon. Any suggestions?

Benny Grunch and drink some cider whilst you wrap the three presents. I am not ready for Christmas yet at all but I do have Benny tapes (yes tapes) in my glove box.

My playa broke - no music. I do have a boom box but I find the carols sound out of place. That's part of the problem I think. The wrapping o' the presents, huh? Think that's what I need?

No eggnog in the stores yet or some bourbon enhanced eggnog could help open the door.

spirit during the holidays. I just don't care much for Christmas. I actually haven't celebrated Christmas since my mom died in '98. The best Christmases were when I was growing up and having a Christmas eve party every year. I can still see everyone making hi-balls and my mom and aunt bee waiting for the mini muffalettas to heat in the old westinghouse oven that I lost in Katrina.

This year I am going to SF cause Julie is not going home this year. We are going to rent movies, eat and lay around. That is the perfect Christmas to me.

I don't like the commercialism of Christmas.

Baa humbug.

All that takes the joy right out of the season for me. When they started putting Christmas out in the stores before Halloween, that blew it.

I'm kind of a scrooge. I really don't care for Christmas. If other folks enjoy it, I'm glad for them, but I just look forward to it being over with. I think it's mainly the commercialism that bothers me. I'd rather buy presents for people for no reason, during the year, when I happen to see something I know someone would like, than feel I HAVE to buy 'em just because it's Christmas.

I buy presents for people all year round. I don't need an occasion and Christmas seems like an obligatory practice to even buy little things for co-workers who you don't necessarily know or even like. I just don't get it.

I understand the joy that children get from it and I think that children should have all of the joy in the world. I just think it has gotten out of hand with the tons of extravagant presents that some children expect. Even though I am not that old, my Christmases were simpler and that was a wonderful thing. I appreciated my gifts.
