Phil cooked crab legs that tasted like lobster, shrimp, taters and corn. Bonnie's son did oysters grilled Danno style (I ate FOUR) and they were the best I ever had. He shucked til he had to leave. Paula brought over some pralines she made. Bonnie's son never had pralines. I made him taste one and he was blown away. Pics tomorrow, maybe, after a shopping spree on a street similar to Magazine. They even have a Nacho Mama's on that street.

If y'all get down to Shockoe Bottom area see if that Jacquesimo's ripoff is still in bidness. Don't forget to check out the Ethiopian restaurant (The Nile? Denial? Something!), they let ya eat with your hands and everything!

They were obviously damned good, which doesn't surprise me. Maybe now you'll branch out to other oyster dishes and discover the wonders of this tasty mollusk.

Tell us more about Phil's crab legs, please.

Today Bonnie and I had a nice time shopping. I bought a friend for Mr. Toast....you may see it later after a few glasses of wine.

Nice pitchas, looks like all are enjoying themselves. The James looks lovely, makes me kinda homesick for VA & WVA.

Here's a River Road spot we have to check out near Geismar. http://www.robertosrestaurant.net/

I grew up going past the tomb with the dog sleeping at the base in Metairie Cemetary. If I wasn't going to be boint up and scattered by the wind, I'd want a doggy on my grave, too.
