groovy. But who the hell actually said, "Groovy!"?

In my day is was "Fine". And then "Cool" (but by the time I could feel not ridiculous saying "Cool" the term went by the wayside).

Thinking back, we used to call nerdy stuff and people "gay" (which had no sexual connotation whatsoever in those days). Gawd, I've become a fossil.

Sammy Davis Junior was considered to be "gay" (in a non-sexual way) by my counterparts. I rest my case.

IMO the word "basically" is the most useless word in the English language. There is no reason to say it.

....but you have to say "way" before cool.
as they say now, we called them a "fox". A good looking guy or girl was either a "fox" or "foxy".

met a new person, say they are amazing and is their SOULMATE then after a week are done with them.

said it too in some of the last episodes of "Andy Griffith". I think Hollywood thought kids said it so they had all their characters use the term so the kids would appear hip.
