Keep your mattresses fresh by sprinkling baking soda over the whole surface. Let it sit for a few hours and then vacuum. If someone should have an accident in bed, sponge the spot with white vinegar and rinse with warm water. Thens prinkle with borax. Allow the mattress to dry and then vacuum the area. –

Yes, it is true but hard to achieve when you are on a limited budget. The price of cleaning products, grooming products, laundry products are expensive - sometimes you have to forego them to buy food. It is a sad state of affairs.
