I'm using HMS Victorious 1960 in Prepar3D v4 for some helicopter operations, whilst I wait, hope and pray that both the the RFN Gauge and Flying Stations Buccaneers will be ported to 64-bit...

However, she doesn't leave any wake, despite steaming at 20+ knots. Does anyone else see a wake?

Many thanks

Andy

The only reason I can think of is if the wake effect files hasn't made it to where P3D4 is looking for it.
It should be flyingstations_carrierwake.fx

No, I think that's for a different version. The sim.cfg lists which wake effect to call so check that in case I've played around with mine for some reason!

So I did some test installs into empty directories from the original *.exe files...

The sim.cfg for Victorious_60 calls flyingstations_carrierwake.fx, yet no such file installs (or pre-exists) in the Effects folder.

The sim.cfg for Victorious_66 calls fx_wake_xl.fx, which is a default effect.

I'm confused!

So it looks like I forgot to include the effect in the original download!

Get it here!

It's about halfway down the thread at the link above.
