It was a great story, but seriously, the money should be going elsewhere. Bad decision in my mind.

Radulov? posted below...I would try him out as a replacement for Jagr....

Jagr had a good yr but he wore down as the yr went along and he is another yr older at 41, not good. He also wore down as the yr went along and as you say the cash could be better spent.

he did get worse as the year went on, don't know if it was the age, he almost looked disinterested. Got to the point I wanted him off the ice (imagine that, a team being better WITHOUT Jagr playing!)

So on the ice, he doesn't bring much more than a guy like, say, Read. It's the off-ice that might bring him back. He has made some of the kids, and G, better players. Is that job done? Can't tell from where I'm standing, I just home Homer knows.

I wonder if he would be willing or effective as a coach? Conditioning coach? Replace Berube?

Should be announced soon, Its a verbal agreement for 1 yr at 3 mil plus bonuses which need to be worked out to complete the deal
