Ovechkin is sat for long stretches, and the Caps rally and win a series and then beat The Rangers at home.

The Preds sit two of their offensive stars and get a 2-0 shutout last night for their first win.

And the Devils offensive star sits the second game, and the Devils throw a solid Defensive game at the Flyers and win 4-1.

It appears Ovechkin learned his lesson, for he played Great last night, but they lost in OT.

So.....do the Preds reinstate their two stars, and do the Devils play Kovy if healthy tonite ????

I know it's semantics but I think you are being overly generous with the word star when it comes to KHL wonder boy / NHL everyman Radulov & Andrei Kostitsyn. They are not straws that stir the drink in Nashville.

Kovalchuk actually DOES play D and can do it well.

Ovechkin not being used a lot by Hunter was a bit of a shock but to Ovie's credit he didn't cause problems and said that winning was paramount. Now Hunter not playing Ovie and them losing would have created a huge outcry of outrage. It happens like that in everything in life. It's always OK as long as things work "out".

in lumping them in with Kovy and Ovechkin, but still the loss of two top starters to a team. And Icer added a keen observation in the Neal sit last series. Bottom line is, the Playoffs are not all about "O" ffense is it?
