Is there any particular reason why reground camshafts aren't mentioned here? Is it a bad idea?

I know that Mark Ashford is making new cams, but other than that, they seem to be made of unobtanium.

Anyone ever run reground cams?

Thanks
Jon

Any particular evasion why the build-up and regrind? Is there a problem with base circle reductions, or was this a case of a profile beyond just grinding?

no problems but shims are an issue and the profile slight inclination on one side to keep the buckets turning which is difficult for the regrinding companies to achieve the factory setting
