I just picked up a 1975 model in rough shape. Kid said it runs - but it had no battery. Is a battery required or magneto style??

Anyone have a wiring diagram for this bike? Or know where I can obtain a copy? Any help greatly appreciatted.

Hi, I believe it should start without the battery. Wiring diagram is best got by purchasing a manual via Ebay or such like. Kev.

Thanks for the Diagram Fs1!

The DX was a disc brake model and mine is drums on both end. The date on the steering head is 1/75.

With that info can I determine whether it's a 6v or 12v system?

I thought they were all 6v, pull out a bulb tail/brake and see wot it says. If its a 75 its gotto be 6v.
