Now early last year I was using a cheap crap Comma mineral two stroke oil just like Per was using at Brighton and I suffered repetative seizures on both my bikes exactly like Per suffered this year at Brighton -as soon as I gave it some both bikes would heat sieze - the only thing I did different was to change the two stroke oil to fully synthetic Putoline MX5 and I have run that oil ever since at 225ml - 250ml per 5 litre without any problems on any fizzy I have owned - I tried something different on this latest engine after reading on the site about people running at 160-170ml per 5 litre- I tried running that mix and my bike started to slow up a bit when it got hot -so I went back to 225ml - 250ml fully synthetic - engine has done 130+ miles since rebuild and it runs great at that.

I used that stuff quite often when the local shop didnt have the semi or fully synthetic. I used the same ratio, and it was fine, only difference i ever got was a change in exhaust fume smell

it sounds like your engine was run in and had done a few miles and so was less like to seize than Pers .

Top end seizures are usually caused by a crap rebore, a cheap piston which distorts when it gets hot, or a lack of oil. That latter of which is very unlikely with pre-mix unless your a complete retard

Ok - but noone specifies the ratio as far as really tuned - ported - cylinders that makes for high high rev etc .. or is that to be regarded as implied here ?!

To me it seems obvious that with a high performance bore U need more oil in the mix, in comparison to an out of the box ?!?

Experienced tuners guild - what say thee ?!
