chaps, i have an idea to run by you. as you know we are doing a moped race this coming saturday in kent. my thought is, i know the people that own the circuit quite well and might be able to persuade them to rent it out to us for a day. i'm thinking loads of fizzies (up to 100cc, to accomodate the bigger endowed among us) riding around, maybe a top speed camera test, and a jolly nice day out. i might be pi**ing in the wind here as they may not be able to rent it out ,but i wondered if anyone would fancy the idea and be willing to part with the neccessary money. the circuit is Lydden in Kent ,near Canterbury so some will have to do a bit of travelling, maybe a van job starting up north and picking up along the way would be an idea. sounds like a laugh already. there are camping facilities at the track (used them many times) if anyone fancied a stopover, pub just up the road............
let me know if it is worth my while asking.

I know Lydden very well and have done many hundreds (probably thousands) of laps around it over the years.

I am certainly up for sorting something. I have already agreed to put up a trophy for the quickest bikes.

My own concern about a race track is the health and safety aspect. I bet that you could not hire the track without the Ambulances etc and that will all go towards the cost.

I would love to be wrong.

Dont worry most of em ended up being a mixture of all sorts
I like em that way Better than standard
The only people who had standard ones back in our Day was the old farts who
went to collect there pensions on one.
