Hi all,

I can restore all Yamaha FS1E chrome speedometers to a high standard.
Having trained as a mechanical craftsman, I have qualified experience in the art of metal spinning, which is the process used to seal the speedo trim to the body. The result is like the speedometer has never been opened.

Services offered include:

Cleaning
Trim repairs
New vinyl dial faces
Rechroming housings
Zeroing mileometer
Replacement mileometer numbers
Manufacture of new fixing pins
New or replacement glass
Complete replacement of mechainism
General welding and turning

Prices start at £70 for a basic service including minor trim repair, cleaning, lubrication and zeroing.

I can do a certain amount of restoration work on all Yamaha chrome speedos that share the same diameter housing. This includes early RD, DT and Y3 etc.
I'm interested in any enquires for fs1e specials or other chrome/metal bodied speedos like later RD and DT.

Please contact me on 07904539954

or send a PM

Thanks,

Aleck

I know Aleck and am very happy to recommend him to anyone looking to have their speedo refurbished. The results he can achieve are supurb and he has the technology to open them up without damaging the rim! DO NOT TRY IT AT HOME

This is what I discovered on a speedo recently....

A previous owner of the speedo had tried to 'clock' it by using a screwdriver through the light hole and onto the numbers.
I have replaced the numbers

Rechromed and rebuilt the speedo

This speedo arrived recently. It had one of its fixing pins stuck on with plastic metal! It is amazing what some people will do to deceive buyers...

I made a new pin...

Welded it in...

Will post a pic once its rechromed
