Right, not this far down the resto, but a question popped into my head regarding the speedo.
It is currently fitted with a Kilometer speedo, and will require a, MPH speedo.
Does the meter gear in the brakeplate need to be changed for it to read correctly?

So, following on from yesterdays question, we have todays question!
Is anyone in a position to offer any idea as to the age of this bike? Its a 599-0002 something something, I haven't got it in front of me!
I see on ebay, that another French fizzy, a 599-400731, was first registered in France, on 23/4/1975. So this one is earlier than this date. Maybe?
Also, where we had the 394 and the 596, which loosely converts to drum or disc brake, did the French not do this? I ask because the 599 I am dealing with is drum, but the 599 on ebay, is disc!

Anyone?
