Does anyone know if you can take the rear springs apart to get them chromed the exposed spring type not shrouded cheers

Its been done, as weve seen the results of rechroming rear shockers with the exposed springs countless times so, Im going to say that they cant be that different to the shrouded type.

After all, how else could they have been assembled!?

I've done it by using strong cable ties to compress the spring a bit to expose the locking nut. you can then get a spanner on to the flats and unscrew the top mounting eye.

oooops! its been about 5 years since I stripped them so very probably. sorry for the big picture, was struggling to resize to 200KB limit....not great with that stuff.
