I got a message in my guestbook today that my pleco page ( http://www.fishpondinfo.com/pleco.htm ) is impossible to read because it's green writing on green background. It's actually blue on green. They also said that my script (which is default script!) is the "gayest" script ever. My pleco page used to be a dark purple that was hard to read so I changed it so it was easier to read. I like colors so, since it is MY web site, I made the pages colored. I understand that it can make them harder to read.

So, what's your opinion? Is my site a "joke" as she said because it's too hard to see or do you like the colors? For me to change the pages, I have to do one at a time. Somehow to me, the plain black text on white pages are boring and somehow worth less. Nonetheless, I have made more and more pages just white now.

Here is the exact message:
"I tried to come to your website to read information for my plecostomus and I cant even see your @#%$! page bc like a dumb ass you have green writing on a green background!!! Plus, to make matters worse you are using the gayest font known to man! Do you actually want people to view your site or did you make it as a joke?"

Thanks. Signed joking dumb ass who likes nothing more than to write thousands of pages that nobody can read.

Robyn,
Obivously, YOU are NOT "THE" dumb ass!!! Put "him" in the trash bin and consider the source of ignorance!! You provide so much information and are so valuable to us. To me, it doesn't matter what color it is. Pay no attention to "him".

Hi Robyn or ummm, the joking dumb ass that likes to write thousands of pages that nobody can read,

I just looked at the the page in question and it looks just fine. The fonts look black to me and I like that gay font ;) The page itself is very readable. Your colors suit the overall theme and I like it. White pages with black fonts are hard to read if you have to look at it for a while. A dull yellow or tan color would be easier on the eyes but won't have the same "feel" as the green. IMO

Maybe this "educated" person needs to check their monitor settings and the fonts installed on their computer and get a grip.

Sounds like somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed and wanted to verbally beat up on you today.

Signed, A dumb a** that likes to read thousands of pages that a joking dumb a** likes to write.

I just checked it and it looks fine to me!

If it was so hard to read I don't think I would have spend days upon days reading every darn page! The pages are bright colors, but it gives them personality.

He either has monitor/color issues, or perhaps is using an odd browser as they will show things differently. Maybe if he was more concerned with the information ON the pages than he was with the look of the page he might actually learn something!

What's the guys name, I'll go slap him for ya!!! :D

Seriously, I suspect you have one of the most indepth sites on the net for this topic. If someone doesn't like it they can go else where!

Evidently I missd this one at the time.

Forget him/her Robyn. You're concerned because you care. We all know that! because we witiness your continued dedication, support to us, and love for animals.

This person is obviously not here looking for help, or to make positive contributions; if so they wouldn't come out the gate kicking a gift horse in the mouth so to speak.

Again, forget them Robyn, obvioulsy a trouble maker.

Robyn, off to the circular file with that one. I usually DO have color/type issues and with a new monitor. lol...I haven't found ANY page in your site that I've had problems with. I have some grey, some blue, and mostly black type. And like you said it's a default type....because it's one of the easiest to read in all size of print. You're the first site I recommend to friends AND strangers. You are so packed full of information and starting points/views, it blows me away that all the info came from your head and experience. Little brained idiot had to strike out on somebody today, now he/she can crawl back into their hole.
