I have a friend who just brought me fresh watercress from a pond. When I went to soak it in the sink, I found about a 100 little creatures swimming around in the water. They look exactly like brine shrimp, but came out of freshwater. What could they be? Would they be safe to feed to my fish?

Look at photos of fairy shrimp and scuds and see if they look the same. Your fish would love to eat them. I don't think the crustaceans would be down with that.
