<t>Hello there Camelius. Haha. Yes-- hard core-- but as fellow addicts we all know the crazy turns our brains can take. The bottom line is-- no puffs ever, and do what it takes to make it every day! Take on one day at a time, and you can do it (Basically, if I can, any one can). And although I admit...

<t>I am really inspired by your strength. Please keep posting-- it is helpful to me to see your triumphs, in spite of your sorrows.<br/> <br/> I have been over one month nic sober-- and it is in fact getting easier. (I actually had one "crave free" day-- but not today  :) I have tried to extinguish ...

<t>Congratulations on your acheivement! I am so glad for you that you are free, and before your son's birthday too. I have two great reasons to stay away from smoking-- lovely young granddaughters. (Also, I am a stubborn natural rebel, and finally realized that "they" can't make me smoke. So I won't...

Hey Chas-- how are you  doing with your quit? I have made it 1 month-- and will make it today (sometimes with flying colours, sometimes "by the skin of my teeth"). You sounded a bit down, and I can sure sympathize quitting is really hard emotional work. Hang in there young friend.

<t>Welcome Beth! How excellent that you quit. Now you and your husband will hopefully be around for a long time for your sons (and yourselves too!) I have been nic sober a month, and am down to just two short craves a day, but doing lots of emotional work with myself as I am working through decades ...

Congratulations on reaching ten years of freedom! You are an inspiration to a newbie. I pray that I can follow in your footsteps,

Free and healing 1 month tomorrow, taking each day at a time. No spring chicken, but not too old either.

Hello and thanks for your posts! I am eating my face off at night, and want to be able to slow that down and take control, and your posts are very inspiring. (You are quite a good writer in addition to being an ex-smoker-- very accomplished).

Keep up the great work.

Patience has not been one of my virtues-- I am humbly learning it

<t>Excellent posts. Thanks for directing me here-- I needed it. After being nicotene free almost 1 month-- I am taking stock-- and not completely sure I like all I see. But the key thing is -- I have quit smoking! I am reminded when reading this that each day is its own day. I can celebrate today an...

<t>Welcome.  Congratulations-- you are looking after your health and breaking free!<br/> <br/> I am at almost 1 month. It does get easier, just do whatever it takes not to take another puff, and don't focus on the longer term, just the day. When I had cravings or got cranky-- I would just focus on n...

<t>I have almost been free for one month. I find that doing one day at a time (I can go one day and not smoke), reading lots on the forum, and reminding myself that any thoughts I have of backsliding are my addict brain trying to trick me have really helped. Also I just put myself in my room if nece...
